So, I wanna know!
What kind of music are you guys into? What're your favorite songs?
I'm looking for some more songs to put on my playlists. Over 24 hours worth of songs on my main playlist, but it's growing a bit stale seeing how I listen to it for like 9-10 hours at a time most days! LOL
I'm open to all sorts of music.
In turn, I'll link to some songs that I love. Maybe you'll like them too! (Please note that a lot of these probably will have fan-made videos tacked on, because they're not well known and/or never had a video made for them.)
[link] Only For You - Sy & Unknown Feat. Grant Paterson
Smooth vocals and a bouncing bass! Plus I love it when techno songs mix in traditional instruments. :>
[link] Glycerine - Bush
Oldie but goodie! Guitars and strings? Yes plz! :>
[link] The Big Issue - Chumbawamba
I love how they have a cappella at the beginning and the round at the end. (I'm a sucker for stuff like that, being a choir-buff in grade school. XD)
[link] Farewell To The Crown - Chumbawamba
Yeah, I put two songs by Chumbawamba on here. LOL Truth be told, a like a -LOT- of their songs, but those two have to be the favorites. I only wish they had a bit more success in the states. :<
youtube.com/watch?v= PvrmKIN9-zo Step Into The Sun - Solid State Revival
Note: Remove the space between = and P to view. dA's emotes mess the link up.
I actually first heard this song for a commerical for VERB (which was a movement to get kids and teens outside and well... doing things!) I thought it was catchy. :>
[link] Princess - Short Stack
Why you so contagious? Could ask the same about this song... I find myself humming it from time to time out of nowhere! XD (If you like this, I recommend you check out other songs by Short Stack - they're awesome!)
[link] Viva La Vida - Coldplay
Coldplay has a way with music that... guh. First Yellow, then Clocks, now this beauty~
[link] Baseline - Quarashi
I first heard this song in the game Amplitude for PS2. It's got a sort of Beastie Boys quality to it. XD
[link] Ookina Ai de Motenashite - C-ute
J-POOOOOOP 8D It's very upbeat and catchy. Hell, even the dance is catchy!
[link] Stop and Stare - OneRepublic
Powerful lyrics. I can kind of relate myself to some of it. It's pretty, too. :>
[link] Hold On No Surprises - Scratch Perverts
I dunno what it is, but I love rap with a British accent... *SHOT*
[link] Put A Donk On It - Blackout Crew
What can I say other than... Aw, wicked! Put a donk on it!
[link] If It Wasn't For The Distance - Nice Guys Finish First
I think a lot of people nowadays can relate to this at some point. :'< So upbeat and yet such a hard thing to go through at times. XD
[link] Acid Nation - Enter Shikari
I don't know how to explain this. It's kind of a mix of something along the lines of Linkin Park and trance and... something else. XD
[link] Matroshka - Dredg
Sorry about the quality of the vid; I can only find live versions of it. XD Reminds me a lot of U2.
[link] Pocket Monster - Henry Homesweet!
This is a style of music called Chiptune, which is made with Gameboys and the like. Pretty sweet!
[link] Twin Chevron Rmx - : ) (ColonOpenBracket), remixed by Sabrepulse
More chiptune! My sister actually found this one. Can't understand what they're saying through most of it, but it's not like that's stopped me from liking a song before. XD (I like the original version, but I still find the remix to be better.)
[link] Bombs Bombs Away (Teenage Battlefield) - The Sounds
The music shot us like guns, guns~
[link] Schweine (Shvanie Remix) - Glukoza
If you played GTAVI, you probably heard the original. You should listen to that too, if anything to watch the awesome music video that goes along with it. [link]
[link] Conquest - The White Stripes
I really don't like The White Stripes all that much, but this song was too good to pass up. XD
[link] Minna no Peace - Afromania
Love and Rock, Love and Rock, Peace~!
[link] Wonderful Night - Fatboy Slim feat. Lateef
Because no playlist is complete without a little Fatboy Slim. 8Da
[link] Stop the Rock - Apollo 440
Iono what it is about this song, but it gets me pumped. XD
[link] Rock This Town - Brian Setzer and the Stray Cats
Could only find a live version. This song, er... well, rocks. 8D; OLD SCHOOL!
[link] Girlfriend (Remix) - Avril Lavigne feat. Lil' Mama
Punk and rap? Yes plz. 8D
[link] Drivin' Me Wild - Common feat. Lily Allen
As if the fact that it's Lily Allen wasn't enough. That piano is catchy. :B
[link] Slide Along Side - Shifty
Very laid back. Pretty much a love song for current times. :>
[link] Party Join Us Daisakusen - Maron Koushaku
PARTY PARTY! Very bouncy and, well... It's Shin-Chan. LOL
That's it for now~ These are just a few of my favs! I have a whole lot more, but good lord the list would be so long. XD; Maybe you found something new to listen to as well?
So like I said. Got a favorite song/group you think I might like? Lemme hear it! :>

You ask me if I'm okay, I say I'm alright,
but only I can feel the pain I hide inside,
all the lies that I told you,
All the words that you thought were true..
I'm sorry that I have hurt you..
aside from that most of my music would probably make you take a hammer to your speakers :[
I mainly tune into rock, from the regular to Piano Rock. Also, game music. I'm not sure if you'll be interested in what I listen to, but here goes:
[link] - A Bad Dream - Keane
PIANO ROCK!
[link] - Tais Toi Mon Coeur - Dionysos
I stumbled upon this band and instantly fell in love. Plus the stop-motion animation for this video is incredible! At least watch this!
[link] - One More Soul to the Call - Mary Elizabeth McGlynn
VIDEO GAME MUSIC! Still, very intense and haunting. Can't stop listening to it. Why me. -__-
[link] - Once Upon a December - Unknown
This scene and song I just admire enough to put it on here.
Yup.

Kittens: Worldclass assassins.
"Once every 50 years, New Zealand's North and South Island ram each other in a primitive battle for supremacy." -America (The Book)
All of those are awesome! That Tais Toi Mon Coeur video is just... GAAAH, forget how awesome the song is, that video's cool with or without it. XD!
And I had no idea Mary Elizabeth McGlynn could sing! o_O Damn, she's good though.
And OMG I LOVE THAT SONG AND THAT MOVIE. I haven't seen it in so loooong. ;_; Ah, when animation was in its prime... What I'd give to have a 2-D movie somewhere in the ranks of Anastasia and the like these days.
I enjoyed them all! Thank you for showing me. :>

But here's my Top 25 Most Played from my iPhone:

Morocco - Kilimanjaro The Rippingtons
And moving up in the field of music would be a song I ended up liking after hearing the Japanese version opening of Gunslinger Girl:
The Light Before We Land - The Delgados
I also have 5 Nightwish CDs, various game soundtracks including ALL the music from Valkyrie Profile, Final Fantasy VII, and Virtual On.
As well as 7gb of assorted stuff mostly Jpop, anime themes, jazz, new age, a shot of techno, some classical, and not enough 80's.
But after the dawn of rap it rapidly turned into a cesspool of stuff that all sounds the same, so the genre is forever lost on me.
And gads I'm thankful to have a small device I can run through my car's audio system and not have to carry all those damn CDs with me.

Chusha - That's "Chusha" as in yobu chusha, no not the "Chusha" as in parking.

But we'll find a way to survive
we all have somebody we love,
we know that's why we're here"

Your parents tried to throw you to the wolves. But the wolves threw you back!
Viewtiful Joe and Jade Coccoon are my current faves. Metroid Prime is also nice but a little darker.
(I could send you all of those if you asked |3)
